Field Application Engineer/Key Account Manager - Technical

(Livonia, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.).

Responsibilities include:  Manage the company's account in North America from the engineering standpoint, serving as the primary point of contact for its customers. Resolve customer issues on a need basis. Be the key point of contact between the cross-functional teams overseas and the US customers. Oversee and provide live product demos and support to customers, enhancing their understanding and utilization of company’s technology. Lead, oversee and support the testing activities for the company in the US. Educate and inform customers of company's product updates that are available. Lead and drive benchmarking and market research activities of the different thermal camera applications across different market segments. Work closely and collaboratively with internal groups for business development, prospecting and generating potential leads to increase company’s client base. Nurture early stage opportunities for future pipeline potential. Maintain and update activity in various programs to ensure effective lead management. Relay key market feedback to help shape the company’s sales strategy. Build and maintain relationships with potential business leads by representing the company at different networking events and conferences. Develop key metrics to gauge performance improvements and future innovation strategies. Identify and lead strategic initiatives designed to grow revenue and profitability. Work with the development teams to develop and lead inbound and outbound campaigns from idea-generation through to qualified call/visit. Support in developing measurement processes, tools and techniques. Work with Marketing and Sales teams to identify incremental market opportunities for growth. Recommend changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional activities. Telecommuting permitted. Domestic travel around 25% and International Travel 10% or less. M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or closely related field. 12 months experience in the job offered, Design Release Engineer, Resident Engineer, or any closely related position. 12 months experience in: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Product Development, Product Lifecycle Management, System Integration, Project Management, Sensor Technology Expertise, Market Research, Conflict Resolution, Data Analysis, Prototyping, and Cross-Functional Collaboration.
